I was trying to get jQuery working with wordpres for some time. Found a lot of tutorials but your’s was the one that worked for me.

Thanks – nice clean explanation, made it easy. It worked for me after I moved the enqueue to just before the wp_head part as Lane did.

Nah, I’ve given up on jQuery and WordPress. I think it’s just better to write your own websote from scratch.

This is a great script. I was wondering if its possible to put multiple instances of the same script within the same WordPress post? I tried this but when one clicks open they all do.

Hi. thanks for the code. I have a question though – how do I ad more than one drop down section to a page? When I do this, I always end up with the first drop down section working perfect and the second section does not hide – see http://dwellydesigns.com/chipandputt/browse/ for example.

FINALLY! I’ve read a half dozen or more blogs and tutorials all showing different ways of getting jQuery working in WordPress. This one came the closest to working for me (WordPress 2.7.1).

Only difference for me: I put the enqueue_script part right before the wp_head() part, and I put my own script right after wp_head() as you suggested.
